Basic coverage includes a grade sheet that evaluates the major elements of your screenplay on a grading scale of Excellent, Good, Fair or Poor. The first one to two pages that follow include notes about why the reader would choose to pass on or would recommend your screenplay. Two to three additional pages are broken down into notes and suggestions regarding story and plot, structure, characters, action, dialogue and writing.
Extended Coverage offers all of the components of Basic Coverage, plus three to four pages of suggestions on how to improve the script to achieve the recommend grade.
If your script receives a recommend grade, the reader's notes will focus on how to tighten the script and insure its success.

Formatting check compares your script to the formatting guidelines generally accepted by the United States motion picture industry.
Professional formatting is a very important part of the screenplay submission. Scripts submitted that are not professionally formatted are difficult for readers to read and detract from the script's presentation. |

Nothing is more irritating to a reader than poor grammar and spelling in an otherwise excellent script. Readers almost always mention such problems in their coverage to warn buyers of writers who are less than professional.
Our grammar and proofreading service helps catch those costly errors before you reach the reader.
ScriptXpert offers a proofreading and formatting check service only - serious deficiencies in grammar and sentence structure may require additional services. |

| |
A prepared synopsis is part of the standard coverage process and consists of a one to two-page overview of the plot and characters of a submitted script. Buyers use the synopsis to get an idea of what and whom the script is about. Final Draft’s ScriptXpert provides a synopsis as an add-on option with its Basic and Extended Coverage packages for those writers who wish to see how his/her script would typically be encapsulated by a reader
Additionally, summarizing your script into a two-page synopsis can be a difficult task, and screenwriters may be asked to provide a synopsis of a script before the entire screenplay is submitted. |
